Court Ordered Services

From a youth to an adult getting in to trouble with the law, the courts might request you to attend mandatory counseling.  Real Talk Therapy offers a variety of options, but it also depends on what the courts are requesting be completed.

A person who is court ordered to treatment does not have the same privacy laws as others seeking therapy. Those who are court ordered must sign a release of information for the courts, along with everyone else involved such as probation officers, parole officers (if released from prison), lawyers, and others. Monthly progress reports will be sent to those involved in the person’s case.

It is very important that all documents pertaining to the reason the person is seeking therapy be brought for the intake appointment. If not all documents are brought in, the intake will be rescheduled and prolong the person beginning therapy.
